It was an honour to meet Mrs. Sadie Graham today. She’s the oldest living survivor of the Halifax Explosion.
When she was only 5, her father, who was working on the waterfront, rushed home to take Sadie and her brother to safety! Luckily, they were unscathed!
In 1961, Sadie’s husband was paralyzed in a car accident. And she went back to work to provide for her family while raising 8 children and caring for her husband.
She’s an incredible person! What a story.
