Multifest, Dartmouth’s multicultural festival, was incredible!
Over 45 years ago, Canada became the first country in the world to adopt a multiculturalism policy. Canadians are proud to live in a diverse and welcoming country and Multifest embodies this!
But as diverse and welcoming as Canada is, we know that too many Canadians are facing racism and discrimination. And our Government knows that we can and must do better. So, we’ve invested an additional $23 Million dollars into the Multiculturalism Program.
This funding supports community-led projects that address racism and discrimination. It supports programs and projects to support the inclusion of newcomers to Canada. But best of all, this funding supports community events like Nova Multifest!
