We just announced the Canadian Dental Care Plan!
I regularly receive calls from uninsured seniors in need of affordable dental care. Their heartbreaking stories have remained top-of-mind for me as I’ve advocated for a dental plan that will help them achieve good oral health and a better quality of life.
Today’s historic announcement will ensure that uninsured Canadian residents with an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 will be able to access the dental care they need.
IMPORTANT DATES
We know that this is going to be a very popular program so we’re rolling it out in a phased approach, and we are starting with seniors.
Applications will be open for eligible seniors:
- Ages 87 and above – December 2023
- Ages 77 to 86 – January 2024
- Ages 72 to 76 – February 2024
- Ages 70 to 71 – March 2024
- Ages 65 and up – May 2024
Persons with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate and children under the age of 18 will be able to apply online by June 2024. And all remaining eligible Canadian residents will be able to apply the following year!
