October 1st is Treaty Day.
A day we celebrate and reaffirm our commitment to the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed between the Crown and the Mi’kmaq people. We are all Treaty People.
It’s also the beginning of Mi’kmaw History Month, and this year’s theme is Mi’kmaw sports, traditional games and past times.
