I believe that all Nova Scotians should be able to see a family doctor or nurse practitioner when they need to, without delay.

That’s why a few months ago we announced an additional $355 Million for Nova Scotia to improve health care in the province.

This is on top of the nearly $1.4 Billion we transferred to Nova Scotia, through this year’s Canada Health Transfer.

With this additional funding, we secured an agreement committing the Government of Nova Scotia to providing better access to primary health care and to mental health services, along with reducing wait times and backlogs for ER visits and surgeries.

Too many people are waiting for a family doctor, and it’s time for Nova Scotians to see the progress they deserve.
