Our Government stepped in and offered a federal loan guarantee to Nova Scotia Power & the Government of Nova Scotia to prevent rate increases

Nova Scotians don’t deserve a 19% rate increase on our power bills!!

I want you to know that our federal government stepped in and we’ve offered a federal loan guarantee to Nova Scotia Power and the Government of Nova Scotia to prevent this from happening.

This will help address an energy shortfall while Nova Scotia awaits power from Muskrat Falls, and it will also allow them to better modernize and green the grid.

We’re also working with Nova Scotia to help support more renewable energy projects so we’re producing more of our own reliable clean power in the future.
