I had a wonderful visit and tour at Autism Nova Scotia with my colleagues yesterday.
Our Government is pleased to invest $800,000 in funding an in-kind contributions to support their new Healthy Relationships, Sexuality and Autism (HRSA) program.
The program supports adults and teens ages 19 and up with autism, and introduces concepts of sexuality and social skills through educational lessons. They discuss topics like gender, relationships, human development, sexual behaviours, dating and social interactions.
It was great to hear more about the important work Autism Nova Scotia does in our community. Thank you for all you do!
