Seven years ago today, Petty Officer Second Class Craig Blake was killed in action as he served with honour and pride alongside his comrades in Afghanistan.
Craig is loved and missed by his family, friends and our community in Dartmouth-Cole Harbour. So much so, that our community named a park in Montebello and one of the new harbour ferries in his honour.
Craig represented the best that Canadians have to offer.
His compassion, helpful nature and community volunteerism will never be forgotten. Craig won ‘Coach of the Year’ through the Dartmouth Whalers for providing leadership and guidance to youth. 
He loved cycling, diving, his community- but most of all Craig loved his family.
