I’ve been having a great time at the #Shearwater100 events this week. Last night was the big gala dinner in celebration of 12 Wing Shearwater’s 100th anniversary.
Lee Byrd, the granddaughter of Admiral Byrd USN, who was the first Base Commander of Shearwater presented, along with LGen (Ret’d) Larry Ashley RCAF, and Col (Ret’d) John Cody.
Shearwater has a long and proud history here in Dartmouth-Cole Harbour. The speakers really brought that history to life. Plus, it’s always a treat to hear the Stadacona band!
