On Friday, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau broke a bottle of Nova Scotian Benjamin Bridge Méthode Classique Brut 2012 against the bow of Canada’s lead Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship for good luck, and officially named the ship, the Harry DeWolf!
Did you know that the HMCS Harry DeWolf is named after a vice-admiral and brave veteran, who helped rescue nearly 50 sailors from the HMCS Athabaskan during the Second World War?
This event was a fantastic moment for the Royal Canadian Navy. The Harry DeWolf is the first large ship our Navy will receive in over two decades. We are proud to invest in our Navy’s future, while supporting Nova Scotia’s proud shipbuilding tradition.
