We’re making it easier to switch to an efficient electric heat pump by lowering the upfront cost through the National Heat Pump Rebate.

Up to $10,000 for eligible below-median-income households
$2,000 for other eligible households
Can be combined with existing provincial programs to unlock even greater savings
Fast approvals. Because heating systems often fail unexpectedly, this program is designed to help when it’s needed most, with approvals expected within 24 hours so replacements can happen quickly.

For families currently using oil heating or electric baseboards, switching to a heat pump could save more than $1,400 per year on average.
