Today, in Dartmouth North, the Prime Minister joined us to announce a new $6 billion Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund to get more homes built faster.

You can’t get more homes built here in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour without upgrading infrastructure along the way. So, we’re here to help municipalities, provinces and territories with critical infrastructure investments like water, wastewater, storm water, and solid waste infrastructure.

Investing in things like wastewater infrastructure might not sound too exciting but it’s key to getting more homes built for folks in our communities.

Shout out to the folks at the Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia for hosting us today at True North Crescent, home to a housing development near and dear to my heart. I delivered funding through our government’s Rapid Housing Initiative to get homes built here. And best of all, they’re rent geared to income, and they’ll remain affordable for generations to come.
