The Truth and Reconciliation Day flag raising and Reconciliation Proclamation reading took place this morning.

Thank you to Chief Robinson for the words of reflection.

Today we remember and honour the children who never had the chance to come home. We honour Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, who continue to carry the ongoing trauma and impacts from this racist and horrific practice.

As we reaffirm our commitment to the journey of reconciliation, let’s use this day of reflection to learn from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action.
