This week marks the 50th Anniversary of the engine room explosion and fire aboard the HMCS Kootenay.

We remember and honour the 9 crew members who died and the 53 injured.

We also honour the remaining crew members who through their professionalism did everything they could to keep the ship secure and afloat.
