I’ve attended many events in my day but this one hit me right in the feels.

Oakwood Terrace’s Poppy Tribute show at the Sanctuary in Downtown Dartmouth was truly wonderful.

You may have seen the incredible poppies on display at Sullivan’s Pond during Remembrance Day? These 10,000 poppies are lovingly handmade by volunteers who work hard to create and maintain them.

We honoured these special volunteers and enjoyed music from wonderful performers.

The music! The singers! Oh. My. Goodness.

It was so great.

It was truly one of the most heartwarming, brilliant, enjoyable nights I’ve been invited to!

Thank you so much to Oakwood Terrace, the residents and the volunteers that worked so hard to create and maintain these beautiful 10,000 poppies.

And a special shout out to little Josephine who sang like an angel. I’ll post her performance later.

I am proud that our government delivered funding to support their Wall of Remembrance and this special Poppy Tribute Concert.
