Dartmouth deserves special community spaces like the new Kiwanis Grahams Grove Community Building. Over the weekend we cut the ribbon and celebrated the Grand Opening of this amazing place!

Although, like other partners, I’m thrilled to play a role in this important space, I’d like to give a special shout out to the incredible Kiwanis Club of Dartmouth volunteers.

Without their service to our community and their vision, this building may never have come to fruition.

I am so grateful for Kiwanis volunteers like Dartmouth’s Glen Bagnell, the very first Atlantic Canadian to be named International President of Kiwanis. And the many people who will forever leave their mark on this incredible legacy project.

The building honours the Mi’kmaq history of the land it rests on, and it’s green and accessible for all, both inside and out. Whether you’re stopping by with your family for ice cream or attending an event—this building is for the community by the community.

Dartmouth—Cole Harbour is beautiful, and I firmly believe in the importance of working with good partners who want to make our community an even better place.
