ANNOUNCEMENT: Safe Return to Class Fund – $47.88 million to Nova Scotia
Teachers, parents and students: we know that the pandemic has been especially hard on you.
From your emails and calls, I know that many of you are worried. We want to make sure that parents can get back to work, knowing their children are safely back to school. And we need to make sure that teachers and staff are safe and can continue educating, supporting and inspiring Canada’s students. (Thank you for all you do!)
We just announced that we are delivering $47.88 million through the ‘Safe Return to Class Fund’ to the Government of Nova Scotia, to support their work to get students, teachers and staff safely back to school!
For example, the funding can be used for things like adapting learning spaces, better air ventilation in classrooms, or for supplying PPE and cleaning supplies.
