Stable and predictable funding for transit is essential to keeping our communities connected. Back when I was a Councillor we’d advocate and dream about what we could do with predictable funding like this—it is so important.
Predictable funding means that HRM can plan and do the work needed to upgrade and modernize the transit system. That planning means they’ll be able to support housing growth near transit making it easier to live here without a vehicle.
This is a smart long-term investment in our municipality’s future.
