We’re helping Halifax Transit go electric.
The Government of Canada, Government of Nova Scotia and HRM just announced a $112 million combined investment for:
- 60 new electric buses
- Charging equipment for the fleet
- Expansion and deep energy retrofit of the Ragged Lake Transit Centre. The centre will be state of the art, incorporating solar, with the aim of reaching net-zero. And it’ll be ready for HRM’s transition to zero emissions buses!
This will reduce 3,800 tonnes of emissions annually by 2030. And the new buses will reduce pollution in our communities and they’ll be so much quieter!
