I hope you’ve had a great start to the New Year!
Both of our offices are busy taking care of constituents and planning events in Dartmouth-Cole Harbour. It’s extremely important to me to remain accessible to my constituents no matter how busy my schedule is. I always look forward to seeing you at my Community Coffee events, in our office or hearing from you through email, phone calls or social media.
Mental healthcare improvement and awareness is important to me- so important that I’ve planned a series of town halls on mental health. These non-partisan events are a way for our community to come together and discuss the state of Canada’s mental health system and to share our experiences. My team and I will prepare a report based on what we hear at the town halls and I will personally present our findings to the Minister of Health.
I hope you’ll consider joining us at our first town hall on January 19th, where the focus will be on youth. We will be joined by Starr Dobson, President and CEO of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and mental health advocate, Dexter Nyuurnibe.
Please RSVP if you’re planning on attending.
