ANNOUNCEMENT:
We’re delivering $221,500 for Dartmouth’s non-profit St. George’s Tennis Club to resurface its clay courts, improve its irrigation system, and install new fencing.
For over 140 years, this historic recreation hub has served Dartmouth residents, and this investment will help ensure it can continue encouraging healthy, active living by bringing people together through sport and recreation for generations to come.
Historically and presently, sport has been a big part of Dartmouth’s social fabric. Whether it’s hockey, paddling, tennis, or so many other activities that bring people together, strong recreation facilities help build stronger communities.
Congratulations to everyone at St. George’s, and thank you for helping keep this remarkable community institution thriving!
This funding is delivered through the Build Communities Strong Fund, Local Impact Stream. Organizations like St. George’s apply for support through this program to help strengthen the community spaces that bring people together.
