It was a privilege to attend the 85th Annual Ceremonial Review of 18 Dartmouth Lions Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron today in Shearwater.

I was incredibly impressed by the squadron’s band and precision drill teams, whose dedication, discipline, and talent were on full display throughout the ceremony.

As the squadron celebrates its 85th anniversary, there was a real sense of pride in the room. Speakers reflected on the traditions, community spirit, and opportunities that generations of cadets have experienced through this remarkable program.

Congratulations to the cadets who were recognized today, and to those who received well-deserved awards and honours. It was wonderful to see so many proud families, smiling faces, and supporters gathered to celebrate their achievements.

Thank you to the cadets, staff, volunteers, and families who continue to make 18 Dartmouth Lions Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron such an important part of our community.
