A little while ago my team and I went for a tour of non-profit Phoenix House. I was blown away by the amount of work they do in our community. Located in Halifax, they help youth between the ages of 11 and 24 along with families and entire communities!

Back in 1987 Phoenix House opened as a result of youth being denied financial aid and housing and were therefore homeless.

Since then, Phoenix has grown to include numerous programs in the community. Their full slate of services are free of change, confidential and remain inclusive.

Here’s a bit of what Phoenix offers:

Advocacy, Youth Outreach, Community Engagement, Youth and Family Therapy, Arts, Recreation and Leadership, Health Services, Parent Support, Housing Support, Money Management, Crisis Support, Education Support, Employment Support.

They provide an incredible list of services!! You can learn more here: https://phoenixyouth.ca/
