Here in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour, members of the Canadian Armed Forces are our neighbours, our kids’ hockey coaches, and a major part of our community.
Today, on Canadian Armed Forces Day, we recognize the more than 100,000 members of the Regular Force and Reserve Force who serve our country with courage, professionalism, and dedication.
The women and men of the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army, and Royal Canadian Air Force defend Canada, protect our sovereignty, and serve with distinction at home and abroad.
Security is not guaranteed. A strong, modern military is essential to defending Canada, protecting our sovereignty, and standing with our allies when called upon.
Today is an opportunity to thank the members of the Canadian Armed Forces for their service, their sacrifice, and their commitment to our country.
A stronger Canada starts with the people who wear the uniform. Thank you so much for all you do!
