On April 9, 1917, Canadians, fighting together as one Corps for the first time, captured and held Vimy Ridge.

It was a defining moment, not only on the battlefield, but in the story of Canada itself.

Nearly 3,600 Canadians lost their lives, and more than 10,000 were wounded.

Today, we remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the legacy they left behind.

We will remember them.
