The 30th Anniversary of the Dartmouth Book Awards was held at New Scotland Brewing Co. this week!

RC Shaw read from their new book, ‘Louisbourg or Bust: A Surfer’s Wild Ride Down Nova Scotia’s Drowned Coast’, and author Marilyn Davidson Elliott read from ‘The Blind Mechanic: The Amazing Story of Eric Davidson, Survivor of the 1917 Halifax Explosion’.

Kris Bertin, who was nominated the for 2017 Alistair MacLeod Prize for Short Fiction, read from their latest book titled ‘Use Your Imagination!’. And writer Simone Poirier-Bures read from ‘Threads in the Acadian Fabric: Nine Generations of an Acadian Family’.

Like I always say, folks are doing incredible things in Dartmouth!
