Swiss Air Flight 111: Honouring those who were lost and those who contributed to the recovery effort

25 years.

This weekend we honoured those who were lost when Swiss Air Flight 111 crashed into the waters near Peggy’s Cove. And we thanked the selfless and brave people who contributed to the recovery effort.

I remember so many Nova Scotians opening their doors to the loved ones of those who had perished. I remember so many offering to help find remains, and find pieces of wreckage.

I know that many who contributed to the recovery effort continue to struggle. Thank you for doing what you could to help bring closure to these families.
