It was truly an honour to present Serge Savard with his Special Service Medal for his service with NATO. The medal recognizes members of the Canadian Forces who took part in activities and operations under exceptional circumstances.
Mr. Savard is a Veteran who served 15 years with the Navy and is currently the President of the Veteran’s Retired Corps. His service includes several NATO tours and he proudly served as part of the Queen Mother’s Change of Canadian Navy’s Colour Honour Guard. He is a recipient of the Canadian Decoration Medal, and now the Special Service Medal for NATO Service.
Last year, on behalf of the constituents of Dartmouth-Cole Harbour we proudly honoured Serge Savard with the Canada 150 Award for his service to our country.
