Today we announced funding to preserve and honour the rich history of the No. 2 Construction Battalion.

Their legacy is of immense and heroic contribution to Canada’s war efforts and they deserve to be remembered.

Thank you the Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia for hosting and for your advocacy to ensure that the legacy of the only all-Black battalion-sized formation in Canadian military history is preserved for future generations.
