What a great bunch of people! I had the loveliest time at the Dartmouth Lawn Bowls Club over the weekend.
We just awarded the Dartmouth Lawn Bowls with a $24,800 grant so they can purchase new equipment to allow seniors to continue to take part in the game, with safe and appropriate equipment.
This funding is through the New Horizons for Seniors Program. This program funds community-based projects that foster social inclusion and engagement of seniors in all aspects of society. These projects are generally lead by organizations, like the Dartmouth Lawn Bowls, that want to make a difference in their community.
