Canada just joined other world leaders and adopted the Christchurch Call to Action – a global pledge to end terrorism and violent extremism online. And we’re leading the way as we address hate speech, privacy, disinformation, election interference, and data control.
There’s a lot more to do, and Canada is stepping up to the plate and working with partners and allies to get it done. Soon we’ll launch a Digital and Data Charter; a framework that will help us develop policies to restore public trust and hold platforms accountable.
